Paul Oakenfold and the Temple of Boom

Came home this evening and popped Chemical Brother's Push the Button into the CD player thats powered by SONIC GEAR.
Broke into an energetic 20 second zulu dance and decided this should be a nite.

Paul Oakenfold was playing at Zouk

So after some 'Yaaar , hum aaj jaaa rahe hain....Zouk mein' , trekked through River Valley Close to Singapore's cluBBin' home (although some will say thats the new Ministry of Sound)

Twas a blast.

The man was bombing the chi out of the room and into the cosmos.
...danced like a man possessed , aided by a kickass giant montage of Mayan dances and the like.
There was one with a dancing man in a demon mask , neatly seated in a circle around him , what looked like natives of the islands in The Thin Red Line and all in a trance ritual - Heady , especially coming close on the heels of beholding this in Yogyakarta.

(Note to self : Have to make a separate post on this one pic)

The only thing I had against Oakenfold , was that as the crowd was butt cheek to butt cheek(?), the man had full 10 square feet to himself , which he conveniently used to do display some accelerated TaiChi.
Such hind proximity is fine for some bump and grind, but in such a crowd, one has to maintain the industriousness to constantly manouevre the right ones.

Talkin of that , this was not the only thing waving

....as the crowd was breaking into ferquent We're not worthy salutes , ala the men in the montage , some kid in the front kept waving what looked like a Flag of Japan in Oakenfolds face , on closer inspection it was not the Rising Sun , but this on the white flag

The symbol of some Singapore political party.

For those who are going to vote in a few hours(remember its compulsory) , The below is the ruling partys logo

Happy Voting Day Singapore , and drive carefully flag wielding wasted party animals.

Now I will excuse myself and heal my bass fatigued neck.

btw : Before you make some comparisons between my blog here and the ToI , that pic with the waving skirt (duBB , if thats made you read diligently ) is from an interesting , tad sappy , french film Russian Dolls , which is the 2nd installment of the Spanish Apartment , which duBB and Nanny might recall as what I was propounding on when we walked by a certain Park behind Brigade road, doing our thing , when two of Randoos' soon to be assistants walked by.
