Fruits of sojourn

Its been 2 yrs since I discovered Durian , that ultra sweet cousin of the Jack fruit. Being from the Jack fruit belt in North Arcot , Tamil Nadu , it was something I just had to try . Pity its as sweet as it is.

This week I discovered Salak or snake fruit in Jakarta .
The outside is scaly ,hence the name, inside looks like a large garlic , with white,soft-hard garlic pods .
A taste you cannot wrap words around.
