Hats off to Indian foreign secretary Shyam Saran and his team.
India is finally finding the energy for the kind of diplomacy a rising power needs.

Dont completely agree. The deal should not be looked at in monochrome (my word for the season). The US will use this as a lever for all future ties ; thats what i could get from W.'s speech (one that berated 5-6 sovereign nations in front of a large audience). Having said that it is still a sort of a "tathastu" that will definitely benifit us.

Thats the art of diplomacy. Getting whta you want and then not giving what the other guy wants. Well we've accomplished the former ,thats a start. And by opening only 14 of 22 reactors to inspection , doing a good job on the latter so far.
Again the US can lever India only so much - geo-politics are shifting and India is in a position to not yield to leverage on the issues that matter.
As of now it is a landmark , era defining deal.
